Tonale Pass in winter

Literally the "paradise" of skiing

The name says it all: in just a few minutes, the Presena cable cars lead in to the Paradiso Pass, and to the mountain hut of the same name. Here, a world of possibilities open up on the snow: go up to the 3000 m altitude of the glacier or go downhill along the legendary Paradiso black run, which is part of the top ten ski runs in Italy. Thanks to the northern position of the area, you can ski from the first snow of November until the end of May. The Tonale Ski area is also connected with Ponte di Legno-Temù - for a total of 41 slopes, 110 km and almost 2000 m in altitude - as well as being part of Trentino Skirama.

Snowpark

For adrenaline-pumping fun! The Adamello Freestyle Arena, with its length of 700 m, nine tables and over twenty obstacles including jumps, walls and rails, offers challenges for beginners and snowboard experts. After the various stunts, enjoy a drink in the sunny chill out area.

Telemark

Originally from the Telemark region in Norway, hence the name, this particular, strenuous but fun “free heel” skiing technique is perfect for those who want to engage in long and exciting off-piste in deep snow. Do you want to try? Schools and instructors are always at your disposal.

Freeride

The mountain slopes all to yourself, floating on fresh snow: this is what freeride enthusiasts seek. On the Tonale Pass, you will find what your skis (or snowboards) are looking for thanks to the numerous opportunities to get off the tracks, in complete freedom, both using the ski lifts and with sealskins.

Nordic skiing

Immerse yourself in the white embrace of winter, slide along the 30 km of groomed cross-country trails among coniferous forests and ancient farms at the foot of the Presanella, divided between the tracks on Tonale Pass, those of the Vermiglio cross-country centre and the three ring routes in Ponte di Legno.

Snow kiting

Surfing on the snow? Experience the thrill of sliding on the soft snow pulled by a kite that uses the force of the wind. If you are not yet familiar with this fascinating sport, sign up for an introductory course at one of the local schools. Are you already an expert? Join the backcountry exploration days!
